Dearly beloved in Christ,
This year’s Holy Week has come to us as a very special gift from God. We are not able to gather physically as family within the beauty of our parish church to celebrate the paschal mysteries of the suffering, death and resurrection of Christ. However, we are called by God to celebrate this sacred time in our domestic churches which our individual families are.Thankfully we have the gift of the internet and social media to help to connect with the various liturgies we celebrate in the church daily. So that even as I miss your physical presence here, we are connected together in a bond of love which Baptism has made possible.
During this week leading to Easter, I hold you very dear to my heart in prayer and in the sacrifices offered here on your behalf and for your spiritual and material wellbeing. I implore you to make the best of this time of spiritual retreat and rejuvenation to grow in holiness of life, in prayer, meditation on the Word of God and acts of charity.
Happy Easter in advance.
